Our 19th annual Women’s Luncheon and Silent Auction took place on Friday, Sept. 30, at Abbington in Glen Ellyn. Keynote speaker was Becky Hunter, author of Being Good to Your Husband on Purpose and Why Her? All proceeds from this fabulous day benefitted the services Outreach Community Ministries provides to the women and families in DuPage County.
Many luncheon guests stepped up to volunteer roles for gift drives, at Jubilee Furniture, and in leadership roles. Income from tickets, contributions, sponsors, and the auction is strong, to date: $121,000 toward our goal of $165,000. We hope to reach our goal with followup contributions from those who could not attend this year and the renewal of Hearts of Grace Partners who sponsored a number of scholarships last year.
